Abstract

Ulaskom u razred primjećuje se mnogo različitih učenika, svaki učenik ima svoje posebnosti i svaki je drugačiji na svoj način. Među svim tim učenicima uvijek će se pojaviti učenici koji će se po uspjehu isticati od vršnjaka. No možemo li sve te učenike nazvati darovitima? Darovitost je mnogo više od odličnih ocjena u školi, darovitost osim razvijenih posebnih sposobnosti čine i osobine ličnosti te kreativnost. No kada govorimo o matematičkoj darovitosti tu često dolazi do zabluda da su daroviti samo oni koji točno i brzo riješe zadatak. Svakako to može biti jedna od karakteristika matematički darovitih učenika, ali ne i jedina. Vrlo je važno što ranije identificirati darovitog učenika kako bi ga se na adekvatan način moglo poticati i usmjeravati pri razvijanju darovitosti. Ukoliko se potencijalno darovit učenik ne uoči na vrijeme dolazi do rizika da izgubi interes za matematiku, te nikada ne razvije darovitost. Učitelji su ti koji sustavno promatraju napredovanje i učenje učenika te su iz tog razloga u najboljoj poziciji za procjenu njihove darovitosti. U tome im mogu pomoći različite liste, skale i testovi za procjenu. Nakon identifikacije bitno je uočiti potrebe svakog darovitog učenika te ga usmjeravati prema ostvarivanju punog potencijala. Cilj ovog rada je upoznati mogućnosti rada s darovitim učenicima te istražiti koliko učitelji koriste te mogućnosti.

Abstract (english)

Entering into the classroom we can notice many different students, each student has his own particulars and each is different in their own way. Among all those students we will always notice students who have better grades. But can we call all these students gifted? Giftedness is much more then good grades in school, on developing giftedness, besides special abilities also affects personality traits and creativity. But when we talk about mathematical giftedness it often comes to mischief that only those who answer the task quickly and correctly are gifted. Certainly, this may be one of the characteristics of mathematically gifted students, but not the only one. It is very important to identify a gifted student early enough to be able to stimulate and direct it in an adequate way to develop giftedness. If a potentially gifted student is not identified early enough, we risk that he might lose interest in math. Teachers are those who systematically observe the progress of students and are therefore in the best position to identify gifted students. Different lists, scales and evaluation test can help them. After identification, it is important to spot the needs of each gifted and direct him towards developing his full potential. The purpose of this paper is to familiarize yourself with the possibilities of working with gifted students and to explore how many teachers use different methods while teaching mathematical gifted students.
