Abstract

Cilj ovog rada je istražiti koliko su djeca predškolske dobi, koja pohađaju dječje vrtiće, upoznata s temom teorije evolucije te prikazati istraživanja koja su do sada provedena na istu temu te usporediti njihove rezultate. Teorija evolucije je bitna tematika našeg društva i od velikog je značaja za razumijevanje samog nastanka i napretka čovječanstva. Djeca su bitan dio našeg društva i zato ih je potrebno u ranoj dobi informirati i educirati o raznim znanstvenim teorijama koje čine sveobuhvatnu teoriju evolucije. Iz provedenih istraživanja se vidi da djeca u početku ne razumiju u potpunosti znanstveno gledište postanka svijeta i živih bića no nakon prezentirane teme sa zanimljivim slikama i priči prilagođenoj njima dolazimo do zaključka da im je znanstveno gledište jasnije i razumljivije nego prije. Istraživanje koje je provedeno u svrhu ovoga rada je pokazalo vrlo slične rezultate kao prethodno istraživanje na vrlo sličnu temu. Ispitano je desetero djece iz predškolske skupine u dječjem vrtiću u dobi od 6 do 7 godina. Djeca ne prepoznaju sam pojam evoluirati, ali shvaćaju značenje tog pojma i dovoljno dobro vladaju iznesenim sadržajem te sami mogu svojim riječima opisati i objasniti nastanak svijeta i evoluciju živih bića.

Abstract (english)

The goal of this thesis is to investigate to what extent children of preschool age attending kindergartens are introduced to the subject of evolution theory, to show research conducted thus far on this subject and to compare their results. The theory of evolution is an important topic in our society and it is of great importance for understanding the origin and progress of humanity. Children are an important part of our society and for this reason, it is necessary to inform them at an early age on various scientific theories that make up the comprehensive evolution theory. From the research conducted thus far, we can see that, at first, children do not fully understand the scientific view on the origin of the world and living beings. After the topic is presented with interesting pictures and vocabulary adapted to their age, we conclude that the scientific view is clearer and more understandable than it was before. Research conducted for the purpose of this thesis showed very similar results to previously conducted research on the very similar subject. Ten kindergarten children from 6 to 7 years of age were surveyed. Children do not recognise the term to evolve itself but understand the meaning of the term and comprehend the presented contents well enough to be able to describe in their own words and explain the origin of the world and the evolution of living beings.
