Abstract (english) Most often question is why the sound is so important to children's development? Well, the sound is exactly what a child is aware of even before his birth and that is why many parents "talk to the belly" during pregnancy. Many mothers sing, read stories, or simply talk to their unborn children so that their babies get used to their voice. As children grow, they need to be exposed to various musical expressions like children's songs, broilers, and the like. Music influences children's mood and emotion, so it is very important to think about what kind of music we reproduce to the children. It is recommended that music should be positive and cheerful. One of the most important segments of music is singing. Some people consider singing as a talent, but singing can be greatly improved by continuous exercise. True and correct singing brings a lot of benefits to children, as developing hearing, nurturing a child's voice and extending its scope, adopting beautiful and expressive chanting with clearly pronounced text, developing feelings for dynamics, rhythm, pace and more. One of the oldest literary forms considered is oral literature. Such a form of literature has been created for many years, even centuries. Because of that, it passed from generation to generation. Some of the brothels, children's songs or singing games we meet today in preschool and school education have been hundreds of years old, but they have managed to keep up and move on. We owe great credit for preserving gold, domestic and foreign musical works, songs, dances and games to folklore. Even though folklore is not as developed as in the past, folklore has spread through various knowledge, games, entertainment and songs that have marked the childhood of our old people, but they have an impact on today's generations, most of them living in rural areas of the Republic of Croatia.
