Abstract

Adaptacija poznatih književnih djela u igrane ili animirane filmove danas je sve prisutnija kako u kinima tako i na malim ekranima. No pitanje je kako prepoznati kvalitetu neke adaptacije i da li je ona, ako je riječ o animiranom filmu, pogodna za prikazivanje djeci predškolske dobi. Kako bi se donijela takva prosudba potrebno je proučiti dječju književnost i od čega se sastoji te tako prosuditi interese djece u pojedinom dijelu života. Često se donosi zaključak kako je animirani film, kakav god bio, prilagođen djeci, ali to ponekad nije tako. Istina je da djeca uživaju u gledanju animacija kako se kreću po ekranu, ali da bi neki film uistinu bio namijenjen djeci on mora i tematikom biti bliži djeci. Povijest animiranog filma pokazuje nam kako smo došli do kompjuterske animacije koja se danas učestalo koristi te je potrebno saznati i kako nastaje animirani film da bi se njegova kvaliteta mogla bolje procijeniti. Kako bi se približila tema adaptacije filma, ovdje se govori o usporedbi čuvenog djela Jacka Londona „Bijeli Očnjak“ te o njegovoj istoimenoj adaptaciji redatelja Alexandrea Espigares. Ovim radom nastoji se prikazati književno djelo i animirani film s kritičkog gledišta primjerenosti za djecu predškolskog uzrasta. Raščlanjivanjem književnog djela na likove i njihove karaktere te same radnje dovest će do zaključka kojoj dobi je prilagođeno ovo djelo, a raščlanjivanjem filma prikazat će se kojim je putovima krenuo Alexandre Espigares prilikom izrade filma i koliko se taj put razlikuje od ideje Jacka Londona. Ovom radu cilj je utvrditi da li su primjene nastale za film bile pogodne za djecu predškolske dobi ili je redatelj učinio upravo suprotno.

Abstract (english)

Adaptations of famous literary works into feature or animated movies today is increasingly present in cinemas and on small screens. But the question is how to recognize the quality o fan adaptation and whether, i fit i san animated movie, it is suitable for preschool children. In order to make such a judgment , it is necessary to study children's literature and what it consists of, and thus to judge the interests of children in a particular part of life. It is often considered that an animated movie, whatever it may be, is child-friendly, but sometimes that is not the case. It is true that children enjoy watching animations as they move around on the screen, but in order to be truly intended for children the theme of it must be close to children. The history of animated movies shows how we came to computer animation, which is nowadays widely used, and it is necessary to know how animated movies are made so that its quality can be better evaluated. In order to get closer to the theme of movie adaptation, here there is word about a comparison of Jack London's „The White Fang" and its adaptation by director Alexandre Espigares. This work seeks to portray literary work and animated movie from a critical point of view of appropriateness for preschool children. The breakdown of the literary work into characters and their characteristics , including the movie action, will lead to the conclusion for which age is this adaptation, it will also show which paths Alexandre Espigares took in making the movie and how it differs from Jack London's idea. The aim of this paper is to determine whether the changes made for the film were suitable for preschool children or whether the director did the exact opposite.
