Abstract (english) Play as a characteristic of every child is represented everywhere in the world among all more developed species of living beings. From the moment a person is born, it has a need for play as well as for other basic life needs. There are many classifications and divisions of games according to modern theories and understandings, but what they all have in common is that they meet children's needs to move and achieve positive emotions and to contribute to children's development. The impact of play on development is not only related to physical development but also to mental and emotional development. When choosing games, care should be taken that it is completely appropriate to the age, that it is purposeful and that it meets the needs of children. Any child who is realized through play so that he can show what he knows and what he has learned earlier in life will be on a good path for healthy growth and development. Physical activity in children is not some thing that should be taken lightly, especially in the world we live in. The current sedentary lifestyle of preschool children is very visible compared to previous generations. Preschool teachers, kinesiologists and professionals are working to promote an active and healthy life that has been increasingly introduced in educational institutions on a daily basis. The way a child perceives and learns about the world of physical activity in the early days should be carried out through play. There are countless games that involve movement and we can divide them into those that can be played outdoors or indoors. The line between that is very thin and each game can be easily modified according to the space and props with outlosing its purpose. Outdoor games provide space for more movement, which may not be so possible indoors. Each season also brings certain interesting things in choosing games that can be very instructive and above all fun. Physical activity is needed today more than ever and the love of sports and exercise habits gives an upward trajectory for the healthy physical and mental development of children.
