Abstract

Mediji su danas dio obiteljske svakodnevnice. Međutim, obitelj je ta koja ima odgovornost prema korištenju medija jer su roditelji ti koji biraju i kontroliraju medijske sadržaje. Mediji osim što informiraju, zabavljaju i obrazuju mogu utjecati na odnose unutar obitelji. Ovaj diplomski rad prikazuje medije u kontekstu suvremene obitelji, odnosno istražuje s kojim se izazovima susreću roditelji u svojoj svakodnevnici, kako mediji utječu na djecu, kao i na komunikaciju unutar obitelji. Naglasak rada je na istraživanju koje smo proveli kako bi ispitali utjecaj medija na odnose unutar obitelji među 185 ispitanika. Istraživanje je pokazalo da ispitanici nisu primijetili manjak međusobne komunikacije zbog korištenja medija, ali je pokazalo da zbog upotrebe medija često dolazi do sukoba između roditelja i djece.

Abstract (english)

The media today is an inevitable part of the everyday life of the family. However, it is the family that has a responsibility to use the media, because it is the parents who choose and control the media content. In addition to informing, entertaining and educating, media can affect relationships within families. This work presents the media in the context of the contemporary family. It shows us the challenges parents face in their daily lives, how the media affects children, as well as communication within families. The focus of this work is on the research we conducted to examine the impact of media on relationships within families. The research showed that the respondents did not notice a lack of communication with each other because the use of the media, but showed that the use of media often leads to conflicts between parents and children.
