Abstract

Tjelesna aktivnost izuzetno je važna za psihički i fizički razvoj svakog pojedinca, a brojna istraživanja ukazala su na pozitivne utjecaje koje ona može imati na psihomotorički razvoj osoba s teškoćama u razvoju. Teškoća u razvoju vrlo je širok pojam i obuhvaća veliki spektar teškoća koje dijete može imati (od oštećenja vida i sluha, tjelesnih i intelektualnih oštećenja do problema u ponašanju). Zbog izrazite povezanosti razine tjelesne aktivnosti i kvalitete njihova života, važno je utvrditi u kojoj se mjeri djeca s teškoćama u razvoju bave tjelesnom aktivnošću. Istraživanje je provedeno Felsovim upitnikom za utvrđivanje razine tjelesne aktivnosti djece u dobi od 7–19 godina, a cilj je bio utvrditi razinu tjelesne aktivnosti učenika s teškoćama u razvoju od prvog do četvrtog razreda osnovne škole. Rezultati su pokazali niske razine ukupne tjelesne aktivnosti, kao i niske razine tjelesne aktivnosti pri obavljanju kućanskih poslova, bavljenju sportom u školi, izvan škole i u slobodno vrijeme. Najveći ukupni indeks ima razina bavljenja tjelesnom aktivnošću u slobodno vrijeme, a najmanji ukupni indeks ima bavljenje organiziranim sportom. Dobiveni rezultati su uspoređeni s drugim istraživanjima provedenim nad djecom s teškoćama u razvoju različitim metodama i na skupini djece bez teškoća, ali istom metodom. Niske razine tjelesne aktivnosti djece s teškoćama u razvoju, koje su vidljive u rezultatima, ukazuju na potrebu većeg uključivanja te skupine u organizirane sportove i druge oblike tjelesne aktivnosti.

Abstract (english)

Physical activity is remarkably important for every individual’s psychological and physical development, and many researches have proven positive effects it can have on psychomotor development of people with disabilities. Term “disability” is very versatile and includes wide spectrum of disabilities that a child can have (from hearing or vision impairment, physical and intellectual disabilities to behavior disorders). Since physical activity levels and life quality of children with disabilities are significantly connected, it is important to determine to what extent do children with disabilities participate in different forms of physical activity. Research is conducted using Fels Physical Activity Questionnaire for Children, which is constructed to determine levels of physical activity of children aged 7-19, with a goal of determining levels of physical activity of children with disabilities enrolled to primary school ranging from 1st to 4th grade. Results indicated low levels of total physical activity, as well as low levels of total physical activity while doing housework, playing sports in school, outside of school and during free time. Physical activity during free time has highest index result, while lowest physical activity index result was shown in participating in organized sports. These results are compared with research results from research conducted on children with disabilities using different methods as well as some conducted on samples of children without disabilities but using the same method. Low levels of physical activity of children with disabilities shown in results indicate the need for greater inclusion of that group in organized sports and other forms of physical activity.
