Abstract

U ovom diplomskom radu predstavljene su basne dviju književnica, Ivane Brlić-Mažuranić i Silvije Šesto. U središtu se nalaze kritičko izdanje Sabrana djela Ivane Brlić-Mažuranić(Bajke i basne) koje su priredili Ivana Žužul i Tvrtko Vuković te zbirka basni
(Z)ezopove basne. Kao važan književni tekst za djecu ističe se basna. Uz basnu se ističu njeni motivi, alegoričnost te ljudske slabosti koje basne na satiričan način opisuju. Odabrane knjige koje smo naveli na početku sadrže basne, a autorice su kao podlogu koristile Ezopove basne odnosno motive iz njegovih basni. Zahvaljujući Ivani Brlić-Mažuranić hrvatska književnost dobila kvalitetnije basne od kojih su neke objavljene u časopisima, a neke su ostale neobjavljene za vrijeme njezina života. Basne Ivane Brlić-Mažuranić odišu Ezopovim motivima, ali Ivana dodaje i svoj autorski stil te im tako daje specifičan pečat. Silvija Šesto suvremena je spisateljica. Njezina zbirka basni (Z)ezopove basne objavljena je 2018. godine. Silvija Šesto kao i Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić polazi od Ezopovih motiva no prilagođava ih 21. stoljeću i novim naraštajima. Cilj ovoga diplomskog rada bio je usporediti basne dviju autorica te njihove sličnosti i razlike. Iako se njihove basne zasnivaju na Ezopovim basnama svaka od autorica dodaje svoj poseban autorski stil te ih prilagođava vremenu u kojem živi. Obje zbirke su vrlo vrijedne u današnjem svijetu jer potiču čitatelje na promišljanje o osnovnim ljudskim vrijednostima.

Abstract (english)

The thesis presents two writers and theirs fables, Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić and Silvija Šesto. The focus is on their collections Sabrana djela Ivane Brlić-Mažuranić (critical edition) which are prepared by Ivana Žužul and Tvrtko Vuković and collection of fables (Z)ezopove basne. As an important literary text for children, fables hold prominent position. Along with the fable, there are motives, allegory and human weakness that stands out and they are described in a very satirical way. The selected books we listed at the beginning contain fables and the authors used Aesop's fables and his motives as a base. Thanks to Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić croatian literature got fables with more quality and some of them are published in magazins but some of them remained unpublished during her lifetime. Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić fables are full of Aesop's motives but Ivana adds a lot of her author style which gives them a specific stamp. Silvija Šesto is a contemporary writer. Her collection of fables (Z)ezopove basne has been published in 2018. Silvija Šesto, like Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić starts from Aesop's motives, but she adapts them to the 21st century and new generations. The aim of this thesis was to compare the fables of the two authors and their similarities and differences. Although their fables are based on Aesop's fables, each of the authors adds their own special
authorial style and adapts them to the time they live. Both collections are very valuable in today's world because they encourage readers to reflect on basic human values.
