Abstract Pretilost znači imati višak tjelesne masti.
druženje, a druga djeca ih zbog toga mogu zadirkivati i isključivati što dovodi do niskog samopouzdanja i samopoštovanja, negativne slike o sebi, a ponekad čak i do depresije. Ovu temu završnog rada odabrala sam kako bih bolje razumjela pretilost u djece predškolske dobi.
Abstract (english) Obesity means having excess body fat. This is not the same as being overweight which can be due to excess muscle, bone, or water as well as too much fat. Today, the problem of obesity in preschool children is becoming more widespread, and every year more children in developed countries are obese or at risk of developing obesity. Obesity in preschool children puts them at risk of developing serious health problems, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and asthma. Also, obesity in preschool age leaves a mark on the emotional status of children. Obese children find it difficult to keep up with other children, find it harder to engage in activities and socializing, and other children may therefore tease and exclude them which leading to low self-esteem and self-esteem, negative self-image, and sometimes even depression. I chose this topic of the final paper to better understand obesity in preschool children. Understanding how children develop obesity is an important step in the prevention of obesity and the development of interventions aimed at reducing obesity in preschool
children, especially interventions carried out in kindergartens. Although healthy habits start at home, kindergarten teachers have a significant role to play in educating children about healthy eating and the way children adopt healthy eating habits. That is why understanding the problem of obesity in preschool is very important for educators in order to properly influence
the health of children. In this task, the help and support of parents is important, as well as all other family members who spend time with their children. The educator has the task of talking to children about healthy eating and physical activity and educating children about healthy living habits through play and other activities such as reading or telling stories. This
approach in children can boost motivation and self-confidence and mean positive change.
