Abstract

Tambura je tradicijsko žičano glazbalo istočnjačkog porijekla koje se značajno upotrebljava i u hrvatskome folkloru te postaje njegovim prepoznatljivim i sastavnim dijelom. Od samih početaka tambura je korištena kao pratnja folklornim plesačima i kao pratnja u izvedbi tradicijskih i narodnih popijevki i plesova. Uz svoju ulogu u narodnom stvaralaštvu, od 1847. godine dobiva i na umjetničkom značaju kada Pajo Kolarić osniva prvo Tamburaško društvo u Osijeku. Od toga se trenutka tambura počinje neprekidno razvijati u svim smjerovima pa tako kroz povijest pratimo njezine razne oblike koji, uz svoje poznate karakteristike, uvjetuju određeni broj žica ili načine ugađanja, a koji utječu na različite tehničke mogućnosti i zvuk instrumenta. Kroz to povijesno razdoblje, promjene u značajkama nisu usporedno utjecale na promjene u interesu za tamburu i tamburaško muziciranje pa tako i danas u sviranju uživaju svi uzrasti. Hrvati su ovaj instrument koristili kao entitet kojim su se predstavljali u svijetu te su tu ljubav prenosili dalje što je rezultiralo osnivanjem tamburaških društava u zemljama kao što su Sjedinjene Američke Države i Australija. Tako važan dio hrvatske povijesti i baštine je dakako bivao implementiran i u hrvatsko obrazovanje. Učitelji su učenike učili o tamburama i tamburaškom muziciranju od najranije dobi i prenosili im ljubav prema tom instrumentu, a oni su uživali svirati jer se vrlo brzo moglo doći do napretka i ostvariti suglasje u zajedničkom izvođenju. To je rezultiralo time da je obrazovanje postalo izvorište tamburaškog amaterizma što je jačalo značaj same tambure u glazbenom svijetu koji se postepeno odražava pojačanim uvođenjem instrumenta u glazbene škole, a na kraju i u visoko obrazovanje. Danas je hrvatsko obrazovanje u mnogočemu izmijenilo svoje ciljeve u odnosu na prošlost, a drugačiji je i pristup tamburi, tamburaškoj glazbi i bogatoj kulturnoj baštini zasnovanoj na njoj. Ovim se radom želi ukazati na mogućnosti koje tambura i tamburaška glazba mogu pružiti u glazbenom odgoju i obrazovanju i glazbenoj kulturi, a koje mogu pozitivno utjecati na razumijevanje koje učenik ima prema vlastitoj kulturi i naslijeđu.

Abstract (english)

Tambura is a traditional Croatian musical instrument originated in the eastern parts of the continent. It has been used in Croatian folklore and it became its most recognizable and integral part. Since the beginning of cultural history, tambura was used to accompany some traditional folklore dances and songs. With its important role in that area, it became even more recognized in 1847 when Pajo Kolarić founded the first ever tambura ensemble in Osijek. Since then, tambura has constantly been developing in all areas and as a result, we follow various designs and shapes that, among its recognizable characteristics, have some other aspects chanced, such as a number of strings or different ways of tuning. All that changes affect some technical features and the sound of the instrument. Throughout the historical period, however, these changes did not affect the interest people had in tambura and as a result, it is still enjoyed by all ages. Croats used this instrument as a symbol that made them recognizable all around the world and the love for tambura resulted in the establishment of numerous ensembles in foreign countries including the USA, Australia, and others. Since tambura was such an important part of Croatian history, it was implemented in the Croatian school system. Teachers thought their students all about tambura from young age and students enjoyed playing it because the progress and unity in playing could be made promptly. As a result, the school system became the birthplace of tambura amateurism, and that strengthened the importance of the instrument itself in the world of music; tambura was gradually becoming to enter music schools and, subsequently, higher education. The Croatian school system today notably differs from the past one. The approach to tambura and its rich cultural inheritance is not the same. This paper aspires to indicate the possibilities tambura and tambura music could provide when it comes to musical education in schools along with a positive influence on the understanding of students’ views about their culture and cultural inheritance.
