Abstract

Svakim danom sve se više rađa autistične djece. Autizam je neurobiloški poremećaj mozga koji potječe od grčke riječi authos što znači sam. Pripada skupini pervazivnih razvojnih poremećaja. Nažalost, ni danas se sa sigurnošću ne mogu utvrditi njegovi točni uzroci. To je vrlo složen poremećaj, a njegovi osnovni simptomi su: nedostatak socijalne interakcije, nedostatak verbalne i neverbalne komunikacije, osobito poremećaj u razvoju govora, bizarnost u ponašanju i stereotipije, smanjen repertoar aktivnosti i interesa. Prvi simptomi autizma najčešće se javljaju unutar prve tri godine i traju cijeli život. Autistična djeca nailaze na brojne teškoće u svom rastu i razvoju te im je za normalno, svakodnevno funkcioniranje potrebna pomoć odraslih. Također, kvalitetna i dobro osmišljena terapija od velike im je pomoći. Nekada su ovakva djeca bila izopćena iz društva, no danas to nije tako i ona se nastoje što kvalitetnije integrirati u društvenu zajednicu. Prvi korak integracije započinje u predškolskim ustanovama te se nastavlja i dalje tijekom cijelog školovanja.
Cilj ovog rada dodatno je senzibilizirati društvo za autističnu djecu. U radu će se prikazati i jedan primjer uspješne integracije u osnovnoškolsku ustanovu.

Abstract (english)

Every day more autistic children are born. Autism is a neurobiological disorder of the brain which originates from the Greek word “authos” meaning it itself. It belongs to the group of pervasive developmental disorders. Unfortunately, even today, with certainty, it is not possible to determine its exact causes. It is a very complex disorder, and its basic symptoms are: lack of social interaction, Lack of verbal and nonverbal communication, Speech development disorder, Bizarre behavior and stereotypes, Reduced repertoire of activity and interest. The first symptoms of autism usually occur within the first three years and last for a lifetime. Autistic children encounter numerous difficulties in their growth and development and for their normal, daily functioning they need the help of adults. Also, quality and well-designed therapies are of great help to them. Sometimes such children were excluded from society, but today it is not so, and it strives to integrate more effectively into the community. The first step of integration begins in pre-school institutions and continues throughout the schooling.
The aim of this paper is to further sensitize the Society for Autistic Children. An example of successful integration into elementary school will be presented in this paper.
