Abstract

Cilj ovoga rada je opisati psihološke osobine prijevremeno rođene djece, prikazati različite aspekte života prijevremeno rođenoga djeteta koji ukazuju na razne zdravstvene probleme, boravak u neonatalnoj jedinici te psihološki utjecaj prijevremenog rođenja. Također, cilj je predstaviti izazove prijevremenoga rođenja te ukazati na najučestalije teškoće koje se mogu javiti kod prijevremeno rođene djece. Jedan od ključnih izazova s kojima se prijevremeno rođeno dijete susreće je njegova nezrelost, kako fizički i neurološki tako i psihološki. Takva djeca često imaju nedovoljno razvijene organe što ih čini osjetljivima i što može dovesti do različitih komplikacija. Nadalje, glavni dio rada odnosi se na prijevremeno rođenu djecu, točnije, njihove psihološke osobine, temperament, razlike između djece rođene u terminu i prije termina te razvoj privrženosti kod takve djece, dok završni dio rada govori o reakcijama roditelja i njihovim suočavanjem sa stresom zbog prijevremenog rođenja djeteta. Na temelju proučavanja i analize literature uočeno je da prijevremeno rođenje ne mora biti indikator za pojavu zdravstvenih i ostalih problema te da se problemi smanjuju ili intenziviraju ovisno o okolini koja ih okružuje.

Abstract (english)

The aim of work named „Psychological traits of premature-born children“ is to show the psychological characteristics of premature children, to show different aspects of the life of a premature child that indicate various health problems, the stay in the neonatal unit and the psychological impact of premature birth. Also, the work aims to present the challenges of premature birth and to point out the most common difficulties that can occur in premature children. One of the key challenges that premature children face is their immaturity, both physically and neurologically, as well as psychologically. Such children often have insufficiently developed organs, which makes them sensitive and can lead to various complications. Furthermore, the main part of the bachelor thesis refers to children born prematurely, their psychological characteristics, temperament, differences between children born at term and before term, and the development of attachment in such children, while the final part of the paper talks about parents' reactions and their coping with stress due to premature birth of a child. Based on the analysis and studied literature, it was observed that premature birth does not have to be an indicator for the appearance of health and other problems, and that problems decrease or intensify depending on the environment that surrounds them.
