Abstract

Internet je velikom brzinom ušao u živote svih ljudi i smatra se vodećim medijem za komunikaciju u 21. stoljeću. Nastao je početkom 60-ih godina 20. stoljeća izumom prve svjetske računalne mreže ARPANET. Dok je 1991. izumljen novi internetski servis pod nazivom WWW ili web kojega i danas koristimo u pretraživanju interneta. Danas je za uporabu bilo koje tehnologije potrebno savladati medijsku i digitalnu pismenost, a djeca, odnosno pripadnici generacije Z, su od najranijih godina okružena tehnologijom pa stoga ni ne čudi visoka razina znanja u korištenju tih istih tehnologija. Internet sam po sebi ima jako puno dobrih strana: brza i laka dostupnost informacija, motivacija za učenje, izvor je zabave, omogućuje brzu i laku komunikaciju bez obzira na to gdje se nalazimo, omogućuje razmjenu iskustva, mišljenja i informacija. No, uz izuzetnu važnost i dobre strane, postoje i one negativne kao što su: cyberbullying, pornografski sadržaji, online kockanje i klađenje, ovisnost o internetu, ali i mnoge druge. U sklopu izrade diplomskog rada provedeno je istraživanje o korištenju interneta u osnovnoškolskoj dobi. Dobiveni rezultati pokazuju kako ispitanici internet uglavnom koriste za društvene mreže, dopisivanje te pregledavanje različitih video klipova.

Abstract (english)

The Internet has rapidly entered into the lives of all people and is considered to be the leading media for communication in the 21st century. It was born in the early 60s of the 20th century by the invention of the world's first computer network ARPANET. While in 1991 a new Internet service called WWW or the web we use today in Internet search is invented. Nowadays, using any technology needs to overcome media and digital literacy, and the children, or members of the Z generation, have been surrounded by technology for the earliest years and therefore no wonder the high level of knowledge in using these same technologies. The Internet itself has a lot of good sides: fast and easy access to information, learning motivation, it's a source of entertainment, provides quick and easy communication no matter where we are, it allows sharing of experience, opinions and information. But, with great importance and goodness, there are also negative sides,m such as cyberbullying, pornographic content, online gambling and betting, Internet addiction, and many more. As part of this graduation thesis, a survey was conducted on the use of Internet by primary school children. The results show that respondents mostly use the Internet for social networks, correspondence, and browsing various video clips.
