Abstract

Radom su obuhvaćena obilježja, važnost i ugroženost bezrepih vodozemaca (Anura). Navedene su opće značajke vodozemaca (Amphibia) te detaljniji osvrt na žabe (Anura) kao jedne od najpoznatijih i najbrojnijih predstavnika vodozemaca. Vodozemci su prvi kralježnjaci na kopnu. Svojim obilježjima prilagođeni su za dvostruki život – život u vodi i život na kopnu. U Republici Hrvatskoj 13 je poznatih vrsta žaba te je svaka vrsta pobliže predstavljena u radu. Temeljem prikupljenih informacija o bezrepim vodozemcima, provedena je anketa o poznavanju njihovih obilježja, ugroženosti i važnosti među populacijom učitelja razredne nastave. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 70 učitelja razredne nastave koji rade u osnovnim školama na području sjeverozapadne Hrvatske. Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da su učitelji razredne nastave nedovoljno svjesni važnosti vodozemaca, prepoznaju različite vrste žaba, čuli su za akcije spašavanja vodozemaca s prometnica, no nisu sudjelovali u njima. U ožujku 2020. godine proveden je izlazak na teren – akcija spašavanja vodozemaca s prometnica. Navedeno je kako se provode te akcije, tko ih organizira te što je njihov cilj. Žabe su biološki indikatori stanja okoliša. Zbog prebrzih promjena u okolišu i onečišćenja kojemu je priroda izložena, žabe su prvi organizmi koji stradavaju. Razlog tome je i propusnost kože koja omogućava da tvari (a jednako tako i onečišćivači okoliša) ulaze u njihov organizam što može uzrokovati teške posljedice za održanje vrsta. Današnja istraživanja pokazuju sve veći broj opadanja jedinki žaba te je većina vrsta pod određenom zaštitom u skladu sa Zakonom o zaštiti prirode.

Abstract (english)

The thesis includes features, importance and endangerment of tailless amphibians (Anura). The general characteristics of amphibians (Amphibia) are listed and a more detailed review of frogs (Anura) as one of the most famous and most numerous representatives of amphibians. Amphibians are the first vertebrates on land. With their features, they are adapted for a double life – life in water and life on land. There are 13 known species of frogs in the Republic of Croatia and each species is presented more in detail in the thesis. Based on the gathered information about tailless amphibians, a survey was conducted on the knowledge of their features, endangerment and importance among the population of primary school teachers. The study involved 70 primary school teachers who work in primary schools in north-western Croatia. The results of the research showed that primary school teachers are insufficiently aware of the importance of amphibians, they recognized different species of frogs, they had heard of actions of rescuing amphibians from roads, but did not participate in them. In March 2020., a field trip was carried out – an action of rescuing amphibians from roads. It is stated how these actions were carried out, who organized them and what their goal was. Frogs are biological indicators of the environmental conditions. Due to rapid changes in the environment and pollution to which nature is exposed, frogs are the first organisms to perish. The reason for this is also the permeability of their skin that allows substances (as well as environmental pollutants) to enter their body which can cause severe consequences for the maintenance of the species. Today's research shows an increasing number of decline in frog specimens, and most species are under certain protection in accordance with the Nature Protection Act.
