Abstract

Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati povezanost proaktivnog suočavanja i indikatora akademskog postignuća te akademske dobrobiti. Uzorak je obuhvaćao 115 studenata s različitih fakulteta u Republici Hrvatskoj. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 16 (13,9%) ispitanika muškog spola i 99 (86,1%) ženskog spola. Dob ispitanika kretala se između 19 i 29 godina, a prosječna dob ispitanika bila je 23 godine (M = 22,51, uz SD = 1,894). Istraživanje je provedeno putem online upitnika postavljenog na aplikaciji Google Forms te je poveznicom podijeljeno na društvenoj mreži Facebook u studentskim grupama i studentima pojedinačno. Rezultati ukazuju na statistički značajnu korelaciju, pozitivne vrijednosti, r = 0,241 i niske razine povezanosti između proaktivnog suočavanja i akademskog postignuća. Prema rezultatima, korelacija između proaktivnog suočavanja i akademskog psihološkog procvata također je statistički značajna, pozitivne vrijednosti, r = 0,216 i niske razine povezanosti. Prikazani rezultati potvrđuju obje postavljene hipoteze o pozitivnoj povezanosti proaktivnog suočavanja s akademskim postignućem i akademskom dobrobiti. Studenti koji primjenjuju proaktivan oblik ponašanja i suočavanja imati će bolje akademsko postignuće i psihološki će napredovati na studiju. Preporučuje se poticanje i promoviranje proaktivnosti kod studenata u svrhu zadovoljstva na studiju, ali i u životu općenito.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this study was to examine the correlation between proactive coping and indicators of academic achievement and academic flourishing. The study was made on a sample of 115 students from different faculties in the Republic of Croatia. 16 (13,9%) male participants and 99 (86,1%) female participants were a part of this study. The age of the participants was between 19 and 29, with average age of 23 (M = 22,51, with SD = 1,894). The study was conducted through an online questionnaire, made in the application Google Forms and was shared on social network Facebook in various student groups and among students individually. The results indicate that there is a statistically significant correlation, with positive validity, r = 0,241 and low level of correlation between proactive coping and academic achievement. The correlation between proactive coping and academic flourishing is also statistically significant, with positive validity, r = 0,216 and low level of correlation. The results confirm both hypothesis about positive correlation of proactive coping with academic achievement and academic flourishing. The students who implement proactive way of behavior and coping will have better academic achievement and will flourish more at the faculty. It is recommended to encourage and promote proactivity among students for the purpose of satisfaction at the faculty, but also in life in general.
