Abstract

U radu je navedena definicija selektivnoga mutizma i prikazana je povijest poremećaja te testiranje poremećaja do danas. Također, opisan je komorbiditet selektivnog mutizma te je objašnjeno na koji se način taj poremećaj može prepoznati kod djece. Budući da selektivni mutizam često uspoređuju sa sramežljivošću, u radu je detaljno opisano kako te dvije pojave možemo razlikovati. Nadalje, opisano je kako djecu sa selektivnim mutizmom uključiti u predškolsku ustanovu. Predstavljeni su razni tipovi selektivnog mutizma (simbiotički, govorno-fobični, reaktivni te pasivno-agresivni) i teorijski modeli. U radu su opisani tretmani pomoću kojih možemo liječiti selektivni mutizam te farmakoterapija za koju se smatra da je isključena jer ne postoje dokazi koji potvrđuju uspješnost liječenja.

Abstract (english)

Through the final paper we get acquainted with definition of selective mutism, history of disorder and how the disorder has been treated to date. In addition with mentioned we learn about comorbidity of selective mutism and how disorder itself can be recognized in children. Since selective mutism is often compared to timidity, the paper throughly describes how these two phenomen can be distinguisher. Furthermore, it is described how children with selective mutism can be included in the preschool institution. Various types of selective mutism (symbiotic, speech phobic mutism, reactive mutism and passive- aggressive) and theoretical models are presented in this paper. Along with mentioned the paper describes treatments which are used to medicate selective mutism and pharmacotheraphy which is considered as excluded due to no confirmation evidence for efficacy of the treatment.
