Abstract Čitanje s razumijevanjem je složeni proces koji se počinje razvijati prije nego što dijete krene s učenjem kodiranja i dekodiranja. Djeca unutar svoje okoline svakodnevno usvajaju zakonitosti jezika putem različitih aktivnosti. Kako bi usvojila čitačke vještine, potrebno je da imaju uredan mentalni razvoj. Na čitanje s razumijevanjem utječu različiti čimbenici. Jedan od tih čimbenika je pokret. Pokret poboljšava motoričke, kognitivne, konativne i emocionalno-socijalne sposobnosti. Budući da pokret donosi mnoge dobrobiti za naš mozak, važno je da bude uključen u proces čitanja s razumijevanjem. Da bi neki tekst bio pročitan s razumijevanjem potrebno je imati dobre čitačke vještine te razumjeti smisao teksta. Na to utječu određeni Brain Gym pokreti. U ovom diplomskom radu prikazane su vježbe koje utječu na čitanje s razumijevanjem, a istraživanje je provedeno na način da su učenici pisali ispit prije kojeg je skupina učenika izvela određene vježbe, a druga skupina nije. Istraživanje je provedeno među učenicima drugih, trećih i četvrtih razreda osnovnih škola u Zagrebu. Cilj istraživanja bio je utvrditi utjecaj pokreta na uspjeh u čitanju s razumijevanjem. Provedeno je istraživanje u kojem je sudjelovalo 64 učenika. Rezultati ispita jedne i druge skupine su uspoređeni te ne pokazuju bolji uspjeh učenika koji su proveli Brain Gym vježbe prije pisanja ispita u odnosu na učenike koji nisu proveli vježbe. Istraživanje je provedeno na malom uzorku, putem online ispita zbog izvanredne situacije u državi, što je moglo utjecati na rezultate. Ne može se sa sigurnošću reći jesu li rezultati mogli biti drugačiji da je situacija bila drugačija, ali na temelju informacija navedenih u diplomskom radu, smatram da pokreti imaju pozitivan učinak na čitanje s razumijevanjem.
Abstract (english) Reading comprehension is a complex process that begins to develop before a child begins to learn coding and decoding. Children within their environment learn language rules on a daily basis through various activities. Furthermore, in order to acquire reading skills, they need to have a healthy mental development. Reading comprehension is influenced by a variety of factors. One of these factors is movement. Movement improves motor, cognitive, conative and emotional-social abilities. Since movement proves to be very beneficial to our brain function, it is important that movement is included in reading comprehension. In order for a text to be read with understanding, it is necessary to have good reading skills and to understand the meaning of the text. Certain Brain Gym movements influence these skills. This thesis presents exercises that affect reading comprehension. The research was conducted in such a way that students wrote an exam, before which a group of students performed certain exercises and the other group did not. The research was conducted among second, third and fourth grade students of primary schools in Zagreb. The aim of the research was to determine the impact of movement on reading comprehension success. A total of 64 students participated in this research. The final results of both groups were compared and the group of students who conducted Brain Gym exercises before writing the exam did not show better performance than the group of students who did not conduct exercises. The survey was conducted on a small sample, via an online exam due to the state of emergency in the state, which could have affected the results. It cannot be said with certainty whether the results could have been different if the situation was different. However, based on the information given in the thesis, I believe that the movements have a positive effect on reading comprehension.
