Abstract

Učenici u nastavnom predmetu Matematika trebaju svladati sadržaje iz područja aritmetike i iz područja geometrije. Slagalica tangram može pomoći učeničkom boljem razumijevanju, ali i približavanju sadržaja geometrije te razvijanju ravninskog zora i geometrijskog mišljenja. Ovaj rad donosi pregled literature o tangramu, prikaz povijesti širenja slagalice svijetom, daje uvid u matematičku pozadinu tangrama te daje prijedlog aktivnosti za učenike razredne nastave s tangram slagalicom. U radu je detaljno opisano planiranje radionice za učenike četvrtih razreda osnovne škole te provedba prilagođenih aktivnosti s tangramom za studente četvrte godine Učiteljskog fakulteta. Cilj provedenih aktivnosti s tangramom sa studentima Učiteljskog fakulteta je bio osvijestiti na koje se sve načine tangram može implementirati u nastavni sadržaj geometrije te istaknuti prednosti rada s tangramom. Sa studentima se po završetku aktivnosti provela kratka anketa o njihovom prvom susretu s tangramom i stavom o implementaciji ove slagalice u nastavu. Rezultati ankete za studente pokazuju kako 98% ispitanih studenata smatra da je tangram slagalica odličan način kako bi se razvijalo učeničko mišljenje, a čak 92% ispitanih studenata navodi kako bi slagalicu tangram željelo implementirati u svoju nastavu.

Abstract (english)

In Mathematics, students need to master content from arithmetic and geometry branch. Tangram puzzle can help bring geometry content closer to the students and it helps them develop better geometry thinking and understanding. This graduate thesis presents a review of literature about tangram and also the historical overview of how tangram puzzle spread throughout the world. It gives an insight into mathematical background of tangram and a proposition of tangram activities for students in elementary school. There is a detailed description of a workshop for 4th grade students of elementary school, as well as a description of implementation of those tangram activities adjusted for students of the 4th year of Faculty of Teacher Education. The goal of conducted activities with the students of the Faculty of Teacher Education was to became aware of all the different ways in which tangram can be implemented or used in teaching geometry content and to point out the advantages of working with tangram. A short survey about their first encounter with tangram as well as their attitude towards implementation of tangram in teaching was conducted after the activities. The results of the survey show that 98% of surveyed students believe that tangram puzzle is a great way to develop student thinking, and as much as 92% of them stated that they would like to use tangram in their teaching.
