Abstract

Hrana je neophodna za održavanje svih funkcija organizma, a pravilna i uravnotežena prehrana djece izuzetno je važna zbog njihovog ubrzanog rasta, razvoja i povećanih energetskih potreba. Ovaj rad baziran je na objašnjenju pojma uhranjenosti i utjecaju prehrane kao jednog od najvažnijih čimbenika. Pravilne prehrambene navike stvaraju se u ranom djetinjstvu, stoga djeca koja ih razviju u ranoj dobi imaju manji rizik za obolijevanje od kroničnih bolesti vezanih uz nepravilnu prehranu. Svrha i cilj ovog
rada osvijestiti je važnost pravilne prehrane za rast, razvoj i zdravlje djeteta. Sve je veća prisutnost pretilosti kao suvremenog problema s kojim se svakodnevno suočava sve veći broj djece i odraslih, a broj osoba s prekomjernom tjelesnom težinom
drastično se povećava. Poseban naglasak stavljen je na prehrambenim standardima i normativima za planiranje prehrane djece u dječjim vrtićima koji se odnose na sastav i vrstu namirnica, način pripreme i kombiniranje namirnica. U svrhu utvrđivanja stanja uhranjenosti provedeno je istraživanje u dječjem vrtiću „Šegrt Hlapić“ u Sesvetama u dvije odgojne skupine predškolske dobi. Od predviđenih 45 ispitanika, u ispitivanju je sudjelovalo njih 38, od čega je uzorak činilo 20 djevojčica i 18 dječaka. Za utvrđivanje stanja uhranjenosti korišteni su rezultati provedenih antropometrijskih mjerenja tjelesne mase i tjelesne visine iz čega je izračunat indeks tjelesne mase prema kojem je određen stupanj uhranjenosti ispitanika. Rezultati provedenog istraživanja pokazali su kako ukupno desetero djece, odnosno svako četvrto dijete odstupa od normalnog stanja uhranjenosti.

Abstract (english)

Food is essential for the maintainance of all functions of the body, and a correct and balanced diet for children is especially important due to their greater rate of growth, development and larger metabolic necessities. This study is based on the explanation of the concept of „nutritional status“ and the role of diet as one of its most important factors. Correct dietary habits are created in early childhood, therefore children that develop them earlier have a smaller risk of maturing chronic diseases linked to an incorrect dietary regimen. The purpose and aim of this study is to bring consciousness about the importance of an accurate diet for the growth, development and health of a child. There's an ever-greater incidence of obesity as a contemporary problem that an increasing number of children and adults have to face, and the number of overweight people is drastically increasing. A particular stress is put on the dietary standards and regulations for planning children's diets in kindergartens, which concern the composition and type of ingredients, the preparation of meals and the combination of ingredients. In order to determine the nutritional status the research has been conducted in the „Šegrt Hlapić“ kindergarten in Sesvete in two educational groups of pre-school age. Of the 45 predicted participants, only 38, which comprehended a sample of 20 girls and 18 boys, took part in the examination. Results of anthropometric measurements of body mass and height, from which the body-mass index was calculated were used to determine the nutritional status and nutritional grade of the children involved. The results of the study conducted have shown how ten children in total, i.e. one in four children, deviate from the normal nutritional status.
