Abstract

Ovaj rad prikazuje važnost i značaj igre za dijete te kakav značaj igri daju određeni kurikulumi. Naglasak je stavljen na velikoj ulozi igre u tjelesnom, kognitivnom, socijalnom, emocionalnom i ukupnom razvoju djeteta. U igri dijete pokušava činiti stvari koje su izvan njegovih mogućnosti te time samo sebi postavlja nove granice koje dostiže. Igra nastaje intrinzičnom motivacijom, spontana je, puna uzbuđenja te na taj način dijete kroz igru najbolje uči. Ovaj rad istražuje igru u Australskom, Irskom, Švedskom te Hrvatskom kurikulumu. Uspoređuje se koliku pažnju autori kurikuluma posvećuju igri pretraživanjem po ključnoj riječi „igra“, odnosno „play“.

Abstract (english)

This paper discusses the role and value of children`s play in general as well as to what degree it is implemented in kindergarten curriculum.
It stresses the importance of play in physical, cognitive, social, emotional and holistic development of a child. Learning through play provides opportunities for children to learn as they discover, experiment, predict and solve problems. Play is an integrated part of intrinsic motivation. It is spontaneous,full of excitement and it enables children to learn in the best possible way.
This paper examines the role of play in Australian, Irish, Swedish and Croatian curricula. It compares to what degree it is incorporated in each curriculum by searching with keywords „igra“ and „play“.
