Abstract

U završnom radu naslova „Pretilost djece predškolske dobi“ pokušat ću objasniti što je to pretilost, koji su uzroci, posljedice i komplikacije pretilosti i kako ona utječe na socijalni, psihički i fizički razvoj djece te kako pomoći pretilom djetetu. Pretilost predstavlja svjetski problem, a svrstava se među najčešćim bolestima moderne civilizacije. Pretilost zahvaća više od 650 milijuna odraslih osoba, a njezina se prevalencija utrostručila u mnogim zemljama od 80-ih godina prošlog stoljeća. Broj pretilih osoba alarmantno raste, osobito među djecom. Upravo zato je cilj i svrha ovog rada upoznati roditelje i čitaoce sa pojmom pretilosti kod djece, što sve ona donosi i kako spriječiti prekomjerenu tjelesnu masu kod djeteta i ukazati na bitnosti zdrave i pravilne prehrane te svakodnevne tjelovježbe jer su upravo ubrzan način života, nezdrava prehrana i nedovoljno tjelesne aktivnosti glavni uzroci pretilosti djece.

Abstract (english)

In the final paper entitled "Obesity of preschool children" I will try to explain what obesity is, what are the causes, consequences and complications of obesity and how it affects the social, mental and physical development of children and how to help an obese child. Obesity is a global problem and is one of the most common diseases of modern civilization. Obesity affects more than 650 million adults, and its prevalence has tripled in many countries since the 1980s. The number of obese people is growing alarmingly, especially among children. That is why the aim and purpose of this paper is to acquaint parents and readers with the concept of obesity in children, what it all brings and how to prevent obesity in children and point out the importance of healthy and proper diet and daily exercise because it is precisely the accelerated lifestyle, unhealthy diet and insufficient physical activity that are the main causes of childhood obesity.
