Abstract

Nove informacijske tehnologije (IT) su tehnologije koje koriste računala za prikupljanje, obradu, pohranu, zaštitu i prijenos informacija. Terminu IT pridružene su komunikacijske tehnologije jer je danas rad s računalom nezamisliv ako ono nije povezano u mrežu, tako da se govori o informacijsko-komunikacijskoj tehnologiji (IKT). U ovom radu pobliže su nabrojane neke od softverskih aplikacija i mrežnih alata koje mogu poslužiti kao dobra podrška u radu odgojitelja s djecom s posebnim odgojno-obrazovnim potrebama. U radu se spominju i uvjeti predodređeni za rad s djecom s teškoćama u razvoju i darovitom djecom, propisana eurospkim standardima. U empirijskom dijelu rada prikazano je istraživanje kojem je cilj bio ispitati na koji način i u kojoj mjeri odgojitelji primjenjuju informacijsko-komunikcijske tehnologije u radu s djecom s posebnim odgojno-obrazovnim potrebama te njihova samoprocjena kompetentnosti u primjeni novih tehnologija, kao i njihovo mišljenje o opremljenosti odgojno-obrazovnih ustanova novim tehnologijama. Za potrebe istraživanja napravljen je online anketni upitnik koji je proveden na 103 odgojitelja, u 12 županija. Rezultati su pokazali kako se polovica ispitanika (53,6%) koristi nekim od oblika novih tehnologija u radu s djecom s posebnim odgojno-obrazovnim potrebama. U provedenom istraživanju, većina odgojitelja (86%) smatra se dovoljno kompetentnim za rukovanje digitalnim tehnologijama, no veći dio njih (64%) smatra da im je potrebna dodatna podrška i edukacija u razvoju kompetencija.

Abstract (english)

New IT or information technologies are technologies which use computers to collect, process, store, protect and transfer information. Nowadays, the term IT is joined by the term communication technologies because working with computer is considered impossible if not joined into the network, so we refer to it as information communication technology (ICT). In this paper, we look closely into some of the software applications and network tools that can be used to support kindergarten teachers’ work with children with developmental difficulties and gifted children. In this paper, the author mentions certain requirements regulated by the European standards that should be met prior working with children with special needs. The empirical part of the paper contains the research whose aim was to examine how and in what way do kindergarten teachers conduct the education and teaching in work with children with special educational needs by using digital technologies and their self-assessment of existing competences in the use of new technologies, as well as their opinion on existing equipment in educational institutions. For the purposes of this research, the survey has been conducted among 103 kindergarten teachers from 12 counties. The findings have shown that half of the respondents (53,6%) use some kind of new technologies in their work with children with special educational needs. Also, the findings of the conducted research show that the most of kindergarten teachers (86%) consider themselves competent enough to work with digital technologies, but also, a big part of them (64%) thinks they need additional support and education to develop their digital skills further.
