Abstract

Prva polovica pedesetih godina obilježena je političkim pozicioniranjem Jugoslavije između istočnog i zapadnog bloka. Kako u međunarodnoj politici tako i na planu umjetnosti i kulture, Jugoslavija traži individualan put u skladu sa socijalističkom ideologijom. Kao rezultat toga Zagrepčani su na kinorepertoarima imali šarolik izbor filmova raznih nacionalnih kinematografija i žanrova. Filmska se kritika sve više fokusira na umjetničku vrijednost i tehničke inovacije filmskih ostvarenja, iako se najčešće može ustvrditi kako ocjena pojedinog filma počiva i polazi upravo od njegove ideološke ocjene. Zanimanje javnosti i struke za film raste, a raste i broj članaka koji se bave ne samo filmom već i svime onime što tvori film i što ga okružuje. Jasno postaje kako se među mnogobrojnom filmskom publikom učestalo i u velikom broju nalaze djeca i mladi. Kako javnost postaje sve svjesnija te činjenice, raste svijest o potrebi stvaranja filmskog programa za djecu i mlade. Prvi napori u tom smjeru napravljeni su selekcijom filmova iz redovnog kino programa koji čine program nedeljnih matineja. Slijedila su prva domaća filmska ostvarenja na području žanra dječjeg filma. Prvi dječji film u Jugoslaviji bio je Kekec, slovenske kinematografije. U Hrvatskoj su to filmovi Branka Bauera Sinji Galeb i Milioni na otoku. Film je, u pedesetima, prihvaćen kao umjetnost i nezaobilazan segment života djece. Istodobno se o njegovom utjecaju i pravilnom vođenju djece kroz svijet filma još vode rasprave i formiraju stavovi.

Abstract (english)

The first half of fifties of the last century in former Yugoslavia has been remarked by the political positioning between Eastern Bloc and Western Bloc. In the fields of arts and culture, as well as in foreign policy Yugoslavia seeks an individual path in consistence with socialistic ideology. As a consequence, cinema repertoire of Zagreb offered diverse selection of movies from various national cinematography and genres. The movie critics refer even more on artistic value and technical movie innovation, even though without success to avoid ideological connotations. As the interest of public and experts grows, more so increases the number of expert articles referring movies, movie makers and stars. Among the cinema viewers the number of children and youth increased immensely. Consequently, public became aware of the increasing need to establish cinema repertoire for children and youth. First attempt in that direction have been made by selection of movies from regular cinema repertoire. Those movies were played on Sunday matinees. Those were followed by first domestic movies in children movie genre. In Yugoslavia the first movie in the genre was Kekec, Slovenian cinematography, and in Croatia the first were Branko Bauer’s movies Sinji galeb and Milioni na otoku. The movie, in fifties, became accepted as an art form and an unavoidable part of every childhood.
