Abstract

U ovom radu pokušat će se objasniti povezanost vrste privrženosti i stresa u ljudskom
funkcioniranju s osvrtom na situaciju povezanu s pandemijom COVID-19. Poseban
naglasak stavlja se na tipove privrženosti i njihovu vezu s unutarnjim radnim modelima
osobe kao i njihov utjecaj na psihičku otpornost osobe kasnije u životu. Ovim radom željela
se istražiti povezanost tipa privrženosti i nošenja sa stresom i socijalnom izolacijom tijekom
pandemije COVID-19 kod studenata. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 418 studenata s različitih
studijskih područja: prirodnih znanosti, tehničkih znanosti, biomedicinskih znanosti,
društvenih znanosti, humanističkih znanosti i područja umjetnosti. Rezultati istraživanja
pokazuju da doživljaj stresa i socijalne izolacije tijekom pandemije kod studenata uglavnom
nije posebno izražen, međutim, mlađi studenti, kao i oni s jače izraženim anksioznim i
izbjegavajućim tipom privrženosti, percipiraju veću razinu stresa i izolacije tijekom
pandemije. Također, utvrđena je i negativna povezanost anksioznog i izbjegavajućeg tipa
privrženosti sa strategijama traženja pomoći od drugih i prihvaćanja situacije, kao i
pozitivna povezanost dobi i korištenja strategije traženja pomoći od drugih.

Abstract (english)

This paper will attempt to explain the relationship between the type of attachment and stress
in human functioning, mostly related to the situation associated with the COVID-19
pandemic. Emphasis is placed on the types of attachment and their connection with a
person's internal work models, as well as their impact on an individual's psychological
resilience later in life. The aim of this paper was to research the connection between type
of attachment and coping with stress and social isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The research involved 418 students from different field of study: natural sciences, technical
sciences, biomedical sciences, social sciences, humanities and arts. The results of the
research show that most students do not show significant level of experiencing stress and
social isolation during the pandemic. However, younger students, as well as those with a
more pronounced anxiety and avoidance type of attachment, perceive higher levels of stress
and isolation during the pandemic. Furthermore, a negative correlation was found between
anxiety and avoidance type of attachment and help seeking strategies, as well as the
acceptance of the situation, whereas a positive correlation was found between age and use
of help seeking strategy from others.
