Abstract

Cilj ovog rada je utvrditi ulogu očeva u odgoju i životu djece: gdje su oni danas naspram nekoliko godina unazad i koliko je važna njihova prisutnost u svakodnevnom odgoju djece. U radu su prikazani različiti načni na koje muškarci pristupaju ulozi oca. Muškarcima treba različito vrijeme za prihvaćanje činjenice da će postati očevi te imaju razne dvojbe i nesigurnosti kako i na koji način se postaviti prema tome malenom biću koje su i oni stvorili. Moraju otkriti nove obaveze u obitelji koje dobivaju rođenjem djeteta i kako te obaveze uklopiti u život s dosadašnjim obavezama. Također bi povremeno trebali žrtvovati svoje slobodno vrijeme da omoguće svojim suprugama vrijeme za njih, pogotovo na početku, dok je dijete malo, kada majke veći dio dana provode s djetetom. Prikazan je direktan i indirektan utjecaj očeva na odgoj djeteta, načini na koji očevi doprinose odgoju, mogući različiti stupnjevi njihove uključenosti te povezanost uključenosti s očevom povezanošću s djetetom.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this paper is to determine the role of fathers in the upbringing and life of children: where are they today versus a few years back and how important is their presence in the daily upbringing of children. The paper presents different ways in which men approach the role of father. Men need different times to accept the fact that they will become fathers and have
various doubts and insecurities about how and in what way to approach this little being that they also created. They must discover the new responsibilities in the family that they receive at the birth of a child and how to fit those obligations into
life with the previous obligations. They should also occasionally sacrifice their free time to allow their wives time for them, especially in the beginning, while the child is small, when mothers spend most of the day with the child. The direct and indirect influence of fathers on the upbringing of the child, the ways in which fathers contribute to the upbringing, possible different degrees of their involvement and the connection of involvement with the father's connection with the child are presented.
