Abstract

Tijekom povijesti mijenjalo se društvo, a paralelno s njim i obitelj, odnosno njezina struktura i funkcija. Tradicionalna obiteljska struktura podrazumijevala je oca, majku i djecu, te djedove i bake.
U suvremenom društvu obitelj dobiva neke nove uloge, mijenjaju se odnosi i između članova obitelji te se sama obitelj mijenja i po svojoj strukturi.
Danas, uz tradicionalno poimanje obitelji (otac, majka i djeca) sve je više jednoroditeljskih obitelji kao i obitelji s posvojenom djecom.
Cilj rada je pokušati opisati izazove s kojima se suočavaju navedene obiteljske strukture.

Abstract (english)

Throught history, society has changed and in parallel with it, the family, i.e, its structure and function. The traditional family structure included father, mother and children, as well as grandparents.
In modern society, the family acquires some new roles, the relationship between family members change and the family itself changes in its structure.
Today, along with the traditional concept of family (father, mother and children), there are more and more single – parent families as well as families with adopted children.
The aim of the paper is to try to describe the challenges faced by the mentioned family structures.
