Abstract

Početkom dvadesetog stoljeća dolazi do reforme pedagogije te se kao posljedica toga javljaju brojni pedagoški koncepti. Među njima najznačajnije i danas najzastupljenije u svijetu su Montessori i waldorfska pedagogija. Svaka od njih ima svoje specifičnosti no imaju zajednički cilj, a to je dobrobit djeteta, odnosno staviti dijete u središte odgojnog procesa. Sve alternativne pedagogije, pa tako i Montessori i waldorfska pedagogija, nastoje poticati holistički razvoj djeteta. One nastoje poticati i razvijati dječju samostalnost, kreativnost, učenje istraživanjem i putem interakcije s okolinom. Smatraju da djeci treba pružiti slobodu te razviti osjećaj odgovornosti. Odrasli trebaju prepoznati potrebe djeteta te mu pomoći da ih zadovolji. Odgojitelji imaju značajnu ulogu jer djeci predstavljaju model ponašanja.
Cilj ovog rada je analizirati temeljne karakteristike Montessori i waldorfske pedagogije, pružiti bolji uvid u njih te naglasiti važnost takvog pristupa za razvoj djeteta.

Abstract (english)

At the beginning of the twentieth century, there was a reform of pedagogy, and as a result, numerous pedagogical concepts appeared. Among them, Montessori and Waldorf pedagogy are the most significant and are the most represented in the world today. Each of them has its own specifics, but they have a common goal, which is the well-being of the child, that is, putting the child at the center of the educational process. All alternative pedagogies, including Montessori and Waldorf pedagogy, strive to encourage the holistic development of the child. They strive to encourage and develop children's independence, creativity, learning through research and through interaction with the environment. They believe that children should be given freedom and develop a sense of responsibility. Adults should recognize the child's needs and help him meet them. Educators play an important role because they are a model of behavior for children.
The aim of this work is to analyze the fundamental characteristics of Montessori and Waldorf pedagogy, to provide a better insight into them and to emphasize the importance of such an approach for child development.
