Abstract

U Hrvatskoj je o seriji Profesor Baltazar, u usporedbi sa njenim uspjehom i popularnosti, pisano relativno malo. U stručnoj literaturi spominje se sporadično i djelomično, pri čemu je tek jedan članak, Luigia Scarpe, u cjelosti posvećen seriji. Ovaj rad obuhvaća pregled do sada napravljenih istraživanja s naglaskom na analizu pripovjednih elemenata. Nakon provedene analize usporedbom pojedinih elemenata zaključeno je da su dva pripovjedna aspekta kojima se serija Profesor Baltazar podudara sa bajkom. Jedan je tradicionalna potreba bajke da završi sretno, s pozitivnim ishodom po junaka, dok je druga sličnost s bajkom u tretiranju vremena kao zatvorene cjeline. Osim ove tematike rad se bavi okolnostima nastanka serije, umjetničkim aspektima razvoja serije i kratkim osvrtom na biografije najistaknutijih autora serije. U radu se željelo što iscrpnije prikazati povijesni pregled bavljenja Profesorom Baltazarom, a u pregledom su obuhvaćeni članci i monografije od nastanka serije pa sve do 2015. godine.

Abstract (english)

In comparison with Professor Balthazar series’ success and fame it has been written relatively little about it in Croatia. Professional literature mentions it sporadically and partially, except for one article written by Luigi Scarpa, which is in its entirety examining the series. This paper includes an overview of thus far written research with emphasis on the analysis of the narrative elements. After analyzing specific elements by comparison, it had been concluded that there were two narrative aspects whereby Professor Balthazar series matches the fairytale. One is the traditional need of the fairy tale to end happily, with a positive outcome for the hero, while the other similarity with the fairy tale is interpreting time as a complete unit. Apart from this subject matter, this paper addresses the circumstances the series had been created in, artistic aspects of the series’ creation as well as short biographies of the prominent creators of the series. It was the intention of this paper to, as extensively as possible, present the historical review of work addressing the Professor Balthazar series and it includes articles and monographies published since the series’ inception up to 2015.
