Abstract

Igra je jednostavna i dobrovoljna aktivnost svakog djeteta, ali i najvažniji put razvoja ličnosti. Ima važnu ulogu od samoga početka djetetova života. Igrom dijete upoznaje svoju okolinu, uči o sebi, o drugima i o svijetu općenito. Igra je najprirodniji i najlakši oblik učenja jer je dijete u igri motivirano i angažirano. Njome razvija osjećaj sigurnosti, samokontrole, samostalnosti, razvija vještine te jača samopouzdanje. Važno je da dijete istražuje i otkriva, da dodirne, rastavi, isproba, pomiriše jer svojim iskustvom i zaključivanjem se intelektualno razvija. Tijekom igre dijete testira i iskušava svoje sposobnosti, a ponavljanjem ih usavršava te uči nove. Cilj ovoga rada je prikazati značenje igre u životu djeteta, razvoj tijekom povijesti, karakteristike i obilježja, njen utjecaj na tjelesni, kognitivni, socijalni i emocionalni razvoj djeteta te kakvu ulogu igra ima u nastavi. Važnu ulogu u djetetovu razvoju imaju odrasli koji trebaju poticati dječju igru, osigurati adekvatan prostor, vrijeme i materijale potrebne za igru. Uloga učitelja je također jako važna jer potiče razvoj djetetovih vještina i sposobnosti, potiče ga na komunikaciju i suradnju s vršnjacima te ga uključuje u aktivnosti u razredu. Igrom se dijete priprema za budućnost te je ona zbog toga neophodna za njegov daljnji razvoj.

Abstract (english)

The play is simple and voluntary activity of every child, but also the most important way of personality development. It has an important role since the very beginning of the child's life. The child with the play acquaint ambience, learn about yourself, about the world and generally. The play is the most natural and the easiest way of learning because the child is motivated and engaged in the game. It develops a sense of security, self-control, independence, develops skills and strengthens selfconfidence. It is important for a child to explore and discover, to touch, to disassemble, to try and to smell, because with his experience and inference develops intellectually. During the play, the child tests and triest heir abilities, improve by
repetition and learning new ones. The aim of this work is to show the importance of play in the life oft he child, its development during history, characteristics and features, hers interests on the physical, cognitive, social and emotional development of the child and what role the play have in teaching. Important roles in child development have adults who need to encourage children's play, provide adequate space, time and materials to play. The role oft he teacher is also very important because it promotest he development oft he child's skills and abilities, encourages him to communicate and collaborate with his peers and engages him in classroom activities. The play is a child preparing for the future and therefore it is necessary for its further development.
