Abstract

Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je utvrditi postoji li statistički značajna razlika u indeksu tjelesne mase između učenika ruralnog i urbanog područja u periodu od prvog do četvrtog razreda primarnog obrazovanja. Za potrebe ovog istraživanja prikupljen je uzorak od 127 učenika. Uzorak varijabli sastojao se od tjelesne visine i tjelesne mase pomoću kojih je izračunat indeks tjelesne mase, a informacije o prehrambenim navikama i tjelesnoj aktivnosti prikupljene su putem anketnog upitnika. Statističkom obradom podataka prikazani su osnovni deskriptivni parametri te je korišten T-test za utvrđivanje razlika između skupina. Rezultati su pokazali razlike u indeksu tjelesne mase između učenika četvrtog razreda ruralnog i urbanog područja. U prvim, drugim i trećim razredima nije bilo statistički značajnih razlika.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this study was to determine whether there is a statistically significant difference in the body mass index between the rural and urban students in the period from the first to the fourth grade of primary education. A sample of 127 students was collected for the purpose of this study. The sample of variables consisted of body height and body weight by which the body mass index was calculated and information on nutritional habits and physical activity was collected through a questionnaire. Statistical analysis of data shown the basic descriptive parameters and T-test was used to determine statistical significance of differences. The results showed differences in the body mass index in the age of fourth grade between rural and urban students. There were no statistically significant differences in the first, second and third grades.
