Abstract

Dramska metoda Mantle of the Expert (ogrtač stručnjaka) inačica je metode igranja uloga: to je skupna uloga – profesionalna/strukovna – u koju se učenici stavljaju sa svrhom snažnijega motiviranja za aktivnu obradu i upoznavanje neke nastavne teme obično vezane s nekim specifičnim područjem života i djelovanja (Čubrilo, Krušić i Jurinović Rimac, 2017). Metodu je osmislila britanska pedagoginja Dorothy Heathcote koja je, promatrajući škole po Velikoj Britaniji, uvidjela problem motiviranja učenika za nastavu. Učenici postaju stručnjaci u rješavanju problema odnosno zadataka koji su, unutar metode, postavljeni od strane klijenta, a u metodičkom smislu ishodi kurikula.
Ova metoda pronalazi svoje mjesto u okvirima problemske nastave kojoj je temelj problemsko pitanje. Dramska metoda MoE ne zasniva se na dramskim zapletima, nego na dogovoru i svjesnom ulasku u uloge, imajući na umu tijekom cijelog procesa da su učenici i učitelj dio fiktivne stvarnosti. Stvaranje problemske situacije treba biti visokomotivirajuće za učenike koji samostalno, uz manju ili veću intervenciju učitelja, razvijaju stvaralačko i kritičko mišljenje te na temelju postojećeg iskustva dolaze do novih spoznaja. Naglasak nije na produktu nastave, nego na samom procesu usvajanja. Učenik postaje ravnopravni sugovornik u odgojno-obrazovnom procesu, a učitelj postaje organizator i usmjerivač u rješavanju problema.
Učiteljeva je uloga u dramskoj metodi vrlo važna. On/ona formira problemske zadatke te motivira učenike na samostalno pristupanje problemu. Potreban je visok stupanj učiteljeve stručnosti i metodičnosti kako bi profesionalni zadaci bili kreativni te motivirajući za učenike. Zbog svoje interdisciplinarnosti i kurikularne integracije, ova metoda prilagodljiva je nastavi primarnog obrazovanja posebice u trećem i četvrtom razredu.

Abstract (english)

Mantle of the Expert is a method of education that is a version of the role-playing method: it is a collective role – professional - which is assigned to the students in order to increase motivation for active training and learning about a subject that is usually related to the specific area of life (Čubrilo i sur. 2017). This method was invented by the British drama teacher Dorothy Heathcote, who saw the problem of engaging students in the learning process while she was visiting and observing the schools in the UK. The students become experts in problem-solving tasks which are set up by the client, (from the methodological aspect - outcomes of the curriculum).
This method finds its place within the framework of the problem-solving method, which is based on problem-solving. MoE is not based on dramatic plots, but on the agreement and conscious involvement in roles, bearing in mind throughout the process that the students and the teacher are part of the fiction. Creating problem-solving situations needs to be highly motivating for students who independently develop creative and critical thinking and, based on existing experience, come up with new insights, with a minor or greater degree of teacher intervention.
The emphasis is not on the product of teaching, but on the process of acquisition. The student becomes an equal interlocutor in the educational process and the teacher becomes the organizer and the instructor during problem-solving. Teacher's role in the drama-method is very important, as the teacher creates problem-solving tasks and motivates students to independently approach the problem. A high degree of teacher competence and methodology is required in order for professional assignments to be creative and motivating for students.
Due to its interdisciplinary and curricular integration, this method is adaptable to primary education, particularly in the third and fourth grades.
