Netko ga ističe manje, netko više, netko ga razvija, a netko ne, ovisno o karakteru i interesima svake pojedine osobe. Poznato je kako djeca već od predškolske dobi ples poistovjećuju sa zabavom i veseljem, rođendanskim proslavama, igrom s vršnjacima i sl. No smatraju li ta ista djeca da, dolaskom u osnovnu školu, ples i dalje ima važnu ulogu u njihovim životima? To možemo otkriti tek kada se mi učitelji u potpunosti posvetimo svakoj nastavi tjelesne i zdravstvene kulture. Svaki učitelj, svojom dobrom voljom, trudom i željom, uistinu može približiti djeci ples te tako učiniti svaki nastavni proces još posebnijim nego što jest. Dakako, plesom možemo „začiniti“ bilo koji nastavni sat, u bilo kojem nastavnom području te kreativnim pristupom zainteresirati i dodatno motivirati učenike za daljnji rad i napredak. Cilj ovog rada bio je predstaviti sve pozitivne strane plesa, odnosno istaknuti gdje, zašto i kako ples možemo primjenjivati u nastavi tjelesne i zdravstvene kulture. Učenike je potrebno postupno upoznavati s raznim vrstama plesa i na zanimljiv način im pokazati njihovu važnost. Ponekad to djeci mlađe školske dobi zna biti naporno i nezanimljivo, no sve ovisi o tome na koji način i u kojom mjeri im se određeni sadržaj predstavi. Kvalitetnim i primjerenim odabirom glazbe, kreativnom interpretacijom svakodnevnih pokreta tijela djecu lako možemo zainteresirati i „pridobiti“ za rad. Isto tako, važno je imati na umu i različita antropološka obilježja djece te u skladu s njima, pripremiti nastavni sat. To podrazumijeva dobro poznavanje svakog pojedinog učenika i kontinuirano praćenje njihovog razvoja. Štoviše, kako bismo postigli zainteresiranost kod učenika, najvažnije je da smo mi kao učitelji dovoljno i kvalitetno tjelesno (plesno) educirani. U većini slučajeva, nastava tjelesne i zdravstvene kulture za djecu predstavlja vrijeme za igru i razonodu, no to ne mora uistinu biti tako. Ako učitelj svaki nastavni predmet doživljava ozbiljno i vodi ga smisleno, tada će i njegovi učenici s takvim razmišljanjem pažljivo pratiti njegov rad. Svaki kreativni učitelj, iz običnog pokreta, može stvoriti plesnu priču kojom će zasigurno dotaknuti dječju dušu.
Abstract (english) Dance lives in each of us since the earliest years of life. Someone expresses it less, someone more, someone develops it, and some do not, depending on the character and interests of each person. It is well-known that pre-school age children identify dance with fun and joy, birthday celebrations, peer games, etc. But do those same kids, who are just starting elementary school, still think that dance plays an important role in their lives? This can only be discovered when teachers are fully devoted to physical and health education. Every teacher, with his/her good will, effort and desire, can really bring children closer to the dance and thus make every teaching process even more special than it initially was. Of course, dance can „spice up“ any lesson, in any field of study. By doing that, we can implement creative approach in order to interest and motivate students more for further work and progress. The aim of this paper was to present all the positive aspects of dance, highlighting where, why and how we can apply dance in physical and health education. Students need to get acquainted with various types of dance gradually and in an interesting way in order to understand its importance. Sometimes children of younger age perceive it to be difficult and unattractive, but it all depends on how and to what extent its content is presented. Using high-quality and appropriate choice of music and creative interpretation of everyday body movements, children can easily become interested and ready to accept dance. Also, it is important to keep in mind the various anthropological features of children and prepare a lesson accordingly. This means that teachers must get to know every student individually and monitor their development continuously. Moreover, in order for students to become more interested in dancing, the most important thing is that we, as teachers, get enough education in a field of physical education. In most cases, physical and health education as a subject in school is considered a time to play and enjoy leisure activities but that does not really have to be this way. If a teacher takes his/her subject seriously and puts enough effort into it, his students will feel it and follow his way of work. Every creative teacher can turn a simple movement into a dance story that will surely touch every child's soul.
