Abstract

Ovaj teorijski rad opisuje ovladavanje značenjem riječi u ranoj i predškolskoj dobi. Objašnjene su kognitivistička, bihevioristička i generativistička teorija dječjega govornoga razvoja te je prikazano kako djeca ovladavaju fonološkom, gramatičkom, pragmatičkom i semantičkom komponentom jezika što je ključno za razumijevanje ovladavanja značenjem riječi kod predškolske djece. U prikazu dječjega ovladavanja značenjem riječi predstavljene su teorija supstitucije, teorija o verbalnom ponašanju, teorija medijacije, teorija pojma i razvojne teorije. Predstavljeni su i brojni čimbenici koji utječu na produkciju riječi i bogaćenje rječnika kod djece – maturacija, spol, temperament, jezično okruženje, socioekonomski status, emocije i odgojitelji.

Abstract (english)

This theoretical paper describes acquisition of the words meaning in early and preschool age. The cognitive, behaviorist and generative theories of children's speech development are explained, also it is shown how children master the phonological, grammatical, pragmatic and semantic component of the language, which is crucial in understanding the acquisition of words meaning in preschool age. In the representation of children's acquisition of words meaning there are represented the theory of substitution, theory of verbal behavior, theory of mediation, concept theory and development theory. Numerous factors which affect words production and child vocabulary are also presented - maturation, gender, temperament, language environment, socioeconomic status, emotions and educators.
