Abstract

Danas je neosporna činjenica da je svijet preplavljen digitalnom mobilnom tehnologijom koja je prisutna u svim aspektima ljudskih života. Obzirom da su mobilni digitalni uređaji postali sve dostupniji djeci i jednostavni za korištenje, a internetski priključak je postao neizostavan dio svakog kućanstva, djeci je postalo vrlo jednostavno od najranije dobi biti uključenim u mrežni svijet. Kako taj mrežni svijet sadrži neograničene mogućnosti za istraživanje i otkrivanje ponude raznovrsnih sadržaja, nameće se potreba kreiranja programa odgoja kojim će se pomoći djeci da se što uspješnije suoče i ovladaju izazovima koje donosi digitalna tehnologija. Istraživanje je provedeno u dječjem vrtiću „Sunce“, u Zagrebu. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo dvadesetero djece dobi od 4,5 do 6,5 godina. Podaci su prikupljeni putem individualnih intervjua, koji su se sastojali od devet pitanja otvorenog tipa. Intervjuima se nastojala ispitati zastupljenost korištenja mobilnih digitalnih uređaja u ispitivanoj skupini. Rezultati su pokazali da sva djeca ispitane skupine koriste mobilne digitalne uređaje, te da u posjed barem jednog od tih uređaja dolaze do pete godine života. Sadržaji kojima najviše pristupaju su animirani filmovi i video igre, a u manjoj mjeri muzički sadržaji. Najčešće posjećivani internetski servis je YouTube, a uz njega najčešće korištenje mobitela je u svrhu telefonskih razgovora. Google koristi manji broj djece, a nijedno dijete ne koristi društvenu stranicu Facebook. Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da je nužno provođenje medijskog odgoja djece u predškolskim ustanovama, jer djeca već u ranoj dobi počinju koristiti digitalnu mobilnu tehnologiju bez stručnog vodstva. Kako bi provođenje medijskog odgoja djece bilo što uspješnije, prvenstveno je potrebno kontinuirano provođenje medijskog opismenjavanja odraslih osoba koje sudjeluju u odgoju djece.

Abstract (english)

Today, it is an indisputable fact that the world is flooded with digital mobile technology that is present in all aspects of human lives. As mobile digital devices become more accessible to children and easy to use, the internet has become an indispensable connection for every household, and it has become easy for children to become involved in the online world from an early age. As this online world contains unlimited opportunities to explore and discover the diversity of content, there is a need to create educational programs to help children cope with and overcome the challenges of digital technology. The research was carried out at the kindergarten "Sunce" in Zagreb. Twenty children aged 4.5 to 6.5 years participated in the study. The data were collected through individual interviews, which consisted of nine open-ended questions. Interviews sought to examine the prevalence of mobile digital device use in the study group. The results showed that all children in the surveyed group use mobile digital devices, and that they own at least one of these devices by the age of five. The content most accessed is cartoons and video games, and to a lesser extent, music content. The most frequently visited internet service is Youtube, and with it the most common use of cell phones is for the purpose of making telephone conversations. Google uses fewer children, and no child uses Facebook. The results of the research show that it is necessary to carry out media education of children in pre-school institutions, since children start using digital mobile technology at an early age without professional guidance. In order for the media education of children to be more successful, it is primarily necessary to continuously carry out media literacy of the adults participating in the education of children.
