Abstract

Djeca su aktivna bića koja uče od prvih dana života te im treba osigurati preduvjete za cjelovit razvoj. Na taj razvoj utječu i tjelesne aktivnosti kojima se djeluje na spoznajno, emocionalno i govorno područje. Djeca koja se odmalena bave tjelesnim vježbanjem boljih su kognitivnih i socioemocionalnih obilježja, razvijaju motoričke vještine, psihološki su zdravija, rjeđe su pretila i u starijoj dobi manje oboljevaju od kroničnih degenerativnih bolesti. Postoje različite vrste tjelesnog vježbanja koje se mogu provoditi u zatvorenom i otvorenom prostoru. Na koji se način one provode u predškolskim ustanovama i u kojoj mjeri utječu na razvoj djece, ovisi i o kompetencijama odgojiteljica. Cilj pisanja ovog diplomskog rada bio je ispitati na koji način se provodi tjelesni u vrtićima i imaju li odgojiteljice sve potrebne kompetencije za rad na tom području. Istraživanjem je obuhvaćena mlađa populacija od 61 ispitanika (60 Ž, 1 M) koja uz rad u predškolskim ustanovama paralelno polazi sveučilišni studij Ranog i predškolskog odgoja i obrazovanja na Učiteljskom fakultetu u Zagrebu. Rezultati anonimnog anketnog upitnika pokazali su da postoje preduvjeti za provođenje tjelesnih aktivnosti, ali upućuju i na potrebu jačanja odgajateljskih kompetencija. Kako bi odgajateljice stekle veću sigurnost u radu i još kvalitetnije provodile tjelesne aktivnosti, kao dio cjeloživotnog obrazovanja, trebalo bi organizirati više edukacija iz tjelesnog područja što može pozitivno utjecati na motorički razvoj djece.

Abstract (english)

Children are active beings who learn from the first days of life and they need to be provided with the prerequisites for full development. This development is also influenced by physical activities that affect the cognitive, emotional and speech areas. Children who engage in physical exercise from an early age have better cognitive and socio-emotional characteristics, develop motor skills, are psychologically healthier, are less likely to be obese and are less likely to suffer from chronic degenerative diseases in old age. There are different types of physical exercise that can be done indoors and outdoors. How they are implemented in preschool institutions and to what extent they affect the development of children also depends on the competencies of educators. The aim of writing this thesis was to examine how physical education is conducted in kindergartens and whether educators have all the necessary competencies to work in this area. The research included a younger population of 61 respondents (60 Females, 1 Male) who, in addition to working in preschool institutions, are simultaneously studying the university study of Early and Preschool Education at the Faculty of Teacher Education in Zagreb. The results of the anonymous survey questionnaire showed that there are preconditions for conducting physical activities, but they also indicate the need to strengthen educational competencies. In order for educators to gain greater safety at work and to perform physical activities even better, as part of lifelong learning, more education in the physical field should be organized, which can positively affect the motor development of children.
