Abstract

Boravak na otvorenom i tjelesna aktivnost važni su za pravilan rast i razvoj djeteta. U predškolskoj je dobi osobito bitno omogućiti djetetu tjelesnu aktivnost na otvorenom jer je upravo to doba najintenzivnijeg rasta. Budući da su u današnje vrijeme djeca sve manje aktivna i sve više vremena provode u zatvorenim prostorima, potrebno je da odgojitelji i roditelji shvate važnost i brojne dobrobiti koje donosi tjelesna aktivnost. Cilj ovoga istraživanja bio je saznati koliko vremena djeca predškolske dobi borave vani i koliko su tjelesno aktivna te ima li razlike u odnosu na prijašnje generacije. U teorijskom dijelu rada govori se o razvojnim obilježjima djece, vrstama tjelesnih aktivnosti, važnosti boravka u prirodi i tjelesnim aktivnostima u njoj te mogućim razlozima njihova smanjenja. U drugom dijelu rada prikazano je istraživanje u kojemu je sudjelovalo 96 roditelja/skrbnika i odgojitelja/odgojiteljica. Kako bi se utvrdilo koliko su djeca predškolske dobi tjelesno aktivna te koliko vremena borave na otvorenom osmišljena je anketa s 22 pitanja koja se provodila online. Rezultati ankete prikazani su kvalitativno i kvantitativno te su obrađeni u programu u kojemu je anketa izrađena. Istraživanje pokazuje kako danas djeca znatno manje vremena provode vani nego što li su provodili njihovi roditelji i odgojitelji. Razlika je i u izboru igračaka i igara te mjesta na koja djeca najčešće odlaze. Rezultati također pokazuju kako su roditelji svjesni važnosti tjelesne aktivnosti na otvorenom pa potiču svoju djecu da što više vremena provode u njoj. Također, smatraju i kako su djeca danas manje tjelesno aktivna. Budući da rezultati to i povrđuju, a dobrobiti tjelesne aktivnosti i boravka na otvorenom su brojne, bitno je osvijestiti roditelje i one koji rade s djecom o važnosti iste, a djeci što češće pružiti mogućnost igre na otvorenom.

Abstract (english)

Staying outdoors and physical activity are important for the proper growth and development of a child. In the preschool age, it is especially important to enable the child physical activity outdoors, because this is the time of the most intensive growth. As children are less and less active these days and spend more and more time indoors, educators and parents need to understand the importance and many benefits that physical activity brings. The aim of this study was to find out how much time preschool children spend outside and how much physically active they are and whether there are any differences compared to previous generations. The theoretical part of the paper discusses the developmental characteristics of children, types of physical activities, the importance of being in nature and physical activities in it and the possible reasons for their reduction. The second part of the paper presents a study in which 96 parents/ guardians and educators participated. In order to determine how physically active preschool children are and how much time they spend outdoors, a 22-question survey was designed that was conducted online. The results of the survey are presented qualitatively and quantitatively and are processed in the program in which the survey was made. Research shows that today children spend significantly less time outside than their parents and educators did. There is also a difference in the choice of toys and games and the places where children go. The results also show that parents are aware of the importance of outdoor physical activity and encourage their children to spend as much time as possible in it. They also believe that children are less physically active today. Since the results confirm this, and the benefits of physical activity and being outdoors are numerous, it is important to make parents and those who work with children aware of its importance, and to give children the opportunity to play outdoors as often as possible.
