Većina današnjih korisnika, gotovo svakodnevno koristi računalo i internet pri tome ne pridajući pažnju opasnostima kojima broj svakim danom postaje sve veći. Na početku ovog rada bit će riječi o internetu općenito i njegovim mogućnostima kao i informacijama te sadržajima koje pruža. Ulaskom u digitalni svijet, dolazi se u doticaj s raznim vrstama malicioznih softvera kojima je svrha i cilj naštetiti korisnikovu računalu ili pak samome korisniku. Također, postoje i razne prijevare kojima cilj može biti krađa podataka ili neka druga fizička ili psihička šteta. Velik problem mogu biti i društvene mreže, posebice kod djece koja još ne razumiju pojam privatnosti kao ni opasnosti koju društvene mreže, ali i sam internet donose. Osim rizika izlaganja osobnih podataka na internetu te izlaganju neprimjerenim, obmanjujućim i lažnim sadržajima, nije rijedak slučaj nasilja putem interneta od strane vršnjaka ili neke treće osobe. Internet je svojim nastankom otvorio cijeli "novi svijet" u kojemu se nalazi niz mogućnosti koje se koriste koliko u pozitivne toliko i u negativne svrhe. Upravo iz toga razloga važno je znati kako se pravilno zaštititi odnosno kako prepoznati prijevare, zaštititi osobne podatke i osobno računalo. Posebice je važno osvijestiti djecu o onome što sve internet jest, što nosi sa sobom i ono najvažnije, kako ga pravilno koristiti. Prema tome, govorit će se i o zaštiti na internetu s posebnim fokusom na zaštiti djece te utjecaju medija na njihove živote. U ovom istraživanju obratit će se pozornost na osviještenost djece o opasnostima digitalnog svijeta kao i njihovu informiranost kako se zaštiti te koju ulogu u tome imaju njihovi roditelji. Cilj istraživanja je utvrditi u kojoj su mjeri učenici upoznati s opasnostima na internetu, vode li brigu o vlastitoj privatnosti te u kojoj mjeri su doživljavali neugodnosti na internetu.
Abstract (english) With the development of technology, and simultaneously the internet, the world has faced many changes that have both positive and negative impacts. Majority of users nowadays use computers and the internet almost every day while not paying attention to dangers that are increasing day by day. In the beginning of this paper will be talk about the internet in general and its possibilities, as well as the information and content it provides. When entering the digital world, one meet with various types of malicious software whose purpose and goal is to harm the user's computer or the user himself. In addition, there are various scams aimed at data theft or some other physical or psychological damage. Social networks can also be a big problem, especially for children who do not yet understand the concept of privacy or dangers connected with social networks and internet in general. Apart from the risk of exposing personal data on the internet and exposure to inappropriate, misleading and false content, it is also not uncommon for children to become victims of cyberbullying committed by their peers or a third party. With its creation, the internet has opened a whole new world that offers a number of possibilities that are used for both positive and negative purposes. For this reason, it is important to know how to properly protect oneself or how to recognize fraud, protect personal data and personal computer. It is especially important to make children aware of what the internet is, what it offers and most importantly, how to use it properly. Therefore, there will be talk about online protection with a special focus on child protection and the media impact on their lives. This research will pay attention to children's awareness of the dangers of the digital world as well as their knowledge on how to protect themselves and the role their parents have in this. The aim of the research is to determine the extent to which students are aware of the dangers of the internet, whether they care about their own privacy and the extent to which they have experienced inconveniences on the Internet.
