Abstract

Montessori pedagogija pedagoška je koncepcija koju je Maria Montessori razvila na osnovi znanstvenog istraživanja te je njeno glavno geslo „Pomozi mi da to učinim sam“. Za provođenje projektnog rada u odgoju i obrazovanju djece predškolske dobi, kao i u Montessori pedagogiji, nužno je osigurati poticajnu okolinu kako bi potaknuli cjeloviti razvoj djece. U prvom dijelu diplomskog rada, teorijskom, prikazuju se načela i didaktički materijali Montessori pedagogije te što to u odgojno- obrazovnom radu podrazumijevamo pod pojmom „projektni rad“. Drugi dio rada, istraživački dio, temeljen je na provedenom istraživanju, „studiji slučaja“. Provedenim istraživanjem željelo se prikazati na koji su način Montessori načela i materijali utjecali na usvajanje znanja djece predškolske dobi na temu projekta „Antarktika“ te koje su sposobnosti pritom djeca razvijala. Također, prikazana su razmišljanja djece i njihovi načini donošenja zaključka iz kojih se očituje važnost iskustvenog učenja. Odgojna skupina koja je sudjelovala u istraživanju brojala je dvadesetoro djece u dobi od 3 do 6 godina. Istraživanje je pokazalo da su Montessori materijali probudili u djeci znatiželju i interes za usvajanjem novih znanja koja su vrlo lako stjecala.

Abstract (english)

Montessori pedagogy is a pedagogical concept developed by Maria Montessori on the basis of scientific research and its main motto is "Help me to do it myself". For the implementation of project work in the upbringing and education of preschool children, as well as in Montessori pedagogy, it is necessary to provide a stimulating environment to encourage the holistic development of children. The first part of the thesis, theoretical, presents the principles and didactic materials of Montessori pedagogy and what we mean in educational work by the term "project work". The second part of the paper, the research part, is based on the conducted research, a "case study". The research aimed to show how Montessori principles and materials influenced the acquisition of knowledge of preschool children on the topic of the project "Antarctica" and what skills children developed. Also, the thoughts of children and their ways of making conclusions from which the importance of experiential learning is manifested are presented. The educational group that participated in the study consisted of twenty children aged 3 to 6 years. Research has shown that Montessori materials aroused children's curiosity and interest in acquiring new knowledge that they acquired very easily.
